It is the night of the Spring Formal, and something catastrophic happened to Erin. The only person they can think of to call is their ex-roommate Soph. Sappho’s Hum is a (at times absurdist) microscopic study on coming of age queer life. Grappling with acceptance, the complexity of sexual assault in the queer community, and the confusion of discovering identity, Erin and Soph move through mundane rituals in order to find out if they are right for eachother. Echoing the plight of our historic ancestors Sappho and Erinna, the pair finds connection in moments of peace in their relationship.
